Our client, a community hospital located north of Boston, MA, has immediate opportunity for a Risk Manager. Oversees patient relations specialist and risk management specialist. Reports to Director of Quality. Responsible for overseeing the risk management program for all patient areas and working collaboratively with the quality and safety programs. Other responsibilities include: managing claims, interfacing with legal counsel, managing and analyzing the occurrence data, investigating adverse events, provision of educational programs and consultation to staff and physicians. Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree required. Either JD, Masters degree in nursing, healthcare administration or public health along with certification in Risk Management preferred. Nursing Informatics Specialist -
Our client, just outside of Boston, MA, has immediate opportunity for a Nursing Informatics Specialist for Emergency Department. The Nursing Informatics Liaison works in the Emergency Department with all staff to educate staff to existing and developing documentation requirements within the Emergency Department Information Systems. The Nursing Informatics Liaison provides assistance and technical guidance to the clinicians working in the Emergency Department or impacted by the Emergency Department related to training or knowledge acquisition. The Nursing Informatics Liaison will also be involved in upgrades to existing systems and future clinical systems deployments. Coronary Care Unit Nurse Manager -
Our client, a magnet status community hospital located in Providence, RI, has an immediate opportunity for Coronary Care Unit Nurse Manager. Manager to oversee 9 beds, 19 nurse staff, unit secretaries, operations and budget. The unit provides intensive coronary care for adult patients from the emergency department, cardiac catheterization lab, other patient care units and transfers from other facilities. The patient population consists of MI patients requiring invasive coronary interventions and arrhythmia monitoring. Typical special procedures include ventilator management and weaning, vasoactive medication titration, pacemaker insertion and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Arterial and pulmonary artery catheters are used as well as the intra-aortic balloon pump. Ideally looking for a candidate with cardiac experience, not necessarily intensive care experience. Also need some experience with collaborative practice. The unit will have NP's and fellows. An attending group for the unit. BSN required, MS preferred or enrolled in MS program. Reporting to the VP of Quality & Compliance, the right candidate will be bachelors, preferably masters, prepared with a minimum of 5 years experience leading quality improvement efforts in a provider practice, community health center, health plan or acute care hospital. Clinical background preferred but not required.
Clinical Documentation Specialist – Our client, a community hospital north of Boston, has an opportunity for a newly created position of clinical documentation specialist, reporting to the Director of Health Information Services. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years clinical medsurg, emergency services or utilization review/case management nursing experience preferred. Must be a pro-active, self starter with a track record of clinical documentation improvements.
Enterprise Imaging Manager – A north shore hospital seeks a knowledgeable, experienced individual to assume responsibility for all radiology department IT; including the day-to-day McKesson PACS activities as Enterprise Imaging Manager. Nursing Director, Ambulatory Surgery Center – Our client, a renowned teaching hospital, has an immediate opening for a Perioperative Nursing Director for its new ambulatory surgery center opening on the north shore in May 2009. The right candidate must be bachelors and masters prepared (at least one in nursing) and possess a minimum of 3-5 years of perioperative nurse management experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting.

This individual will report to the Director, QI/RM and work collaboratively with the Chief, Infectious Diseases. He/she must be a nurse, bachelors prepared, CIC certified, enrolled or eligible and have at least 2 years of hospital infection control clinical experience. A Masters is preferred.
Clinical Educator, Medsurg/Telemetry - Our client, a metro-Boston teaching hospital is looking for a new Clinical Educator for its 27-bed medsurg/telemetry floor. Reporting to the Unit Nurse Manager and indirectly to the Associate Chief of Nursing, Clinical & Professional Development, and the educator will promote excellence in nursing practice and function as a clinical/educational resource to the nursing staff. BSN + MSN or matriculation, 5+ years medsurg and at least 2 years of clinical education experience are required.
Director, Critical Care - Our client, a community hospital west of Boston, is looking for a new nursing director for its 14-bed ICU/CCU floor. A BSN is required and an MSN is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of managerial and at least 5 years of clinical ICU/CCU experience are required as well. This position will report directly to the VP Nursing/Patient Care.
Nurse Manager, Radiology - Our client, a Boston area teaching facility, has a new position for a Radiology Nurse Manager, overseeing all clinical and administrative aspects of radiology involving patient care. Reporting to the Associate Chief of Perioperative Nursing and dotted line to the Chief of Radiology, the Nurse Manager will be bachelors and masters degree prepared with a minimum of 5 years of medsurg and 2 years of critical care, emergency services or PACU clinical experience. He/she must have at least 2 years of managerial experience as well.
Director, Case Management - Our client, a New York City teaching hospital, has an immediate opening for a Director, Case Management. Reporting to the Sr VP, of the hospital, and this individual will be responsible for directing the departmental activities involved in UR, appeals management and discharge planning to facilitate the growing case management process and maximize reimbursement to the hospital. He/she must be a nurse, bachelors and preferably masters prepared and have at least 5 years of case management and 3-5 years of managerial experience.
Associate Director, Surgical Services - Our client, a large New York City teaching hospital, has an opening for a newly created position of Associate Director, Surgical Services. Working with the Director, Surgical Services, this person will oversee the day-to-day operations of the busy perioperative services department – 12,000+ annual cases (including open hearts). A BSN is required; an MSN + CNOR are highly preferred.
Director, Cardiac Surgical Step-Down Unit - Boston teaching hospital seeks a new Director to manage its 34 bed Cardiac Surgical Step-Down Unit. Patients typically suffering from coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic disease, congenital heart disease or lethal arrhythmias, or requiring S/P coronary bypass graft, S/P valve replacement, ACID placement or permanent pacemaker placement are predominantly admitted post-op from the Cardiac SICU. Some patients are admitted pre-op for cardiac surgery. MSN and BSN, as well as previous management or leadership experience are required. Experience in acute care nursing and cardiac surgery is strongly preferred.
